Shante Walker founded Birth and Beyond Home Daycare and Preschool. Shante has an extensive background in early childhood education and over 25 years of experience, carrying her AS degree in early care and education and her BA degree in educational studies. Shante's work experience includes working in both public and private childcare centers, working for Special School District/Parkway School District in the Early Childhood Department, with her latest career endeavor working for the State of MO as a Childcare Auditor for in-home and License Exempt Daycares. Shante' had just had her third son and was in the process of finding childcare for her 2-month-old son while maintaining her position with the State of MO. While visiting numerous childcare centers in the area, the trend that Shante' noticed was that quality childcare needed to be more affordable with limited availability. Shante' knew, with her extensive background in education, that she could provide childcare services in her home while staying home with her child. Shante began to market her services, received many inquiries, and began a waiting list. Shante was so overwhelmed with the need for affordable, quality childcare in her community that she decided to branch out and make Birth and Beyond Home Daycare and Preschool official.
